The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (The Coincidence, #1)The girl he thinks he loves needs to disappear.  I don’t want tonight to be irreversible, so I pull away, breathing him in one last time.  Then I walk away, leaving him on the bridge in the rain, along with the old Ella.

TTTLet me just say I have WAY MORE than 10 of these!  This year I’m really trying to limit my book purchases, read the books I have on my shelf that I just had to have, and get rid of those books I am just not interested in anymore.  Easier said than done, but I have made a few trips to Half Price, sold a few boxes of books and left without any new books in my hand.  I call that a success. :D

I’m noticing all of these are YA books and I think my reading tastes are moving away from this genre, so I’m less likely to pick these up to read.

  1. A Million Suns and Shades of Earth by Beth Revis – LOVED Across the Universe!
  2. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  3. Avow (Archers of Avalon #3) by Chelsea Fine – SERIOUSLY need to read this!
  4. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green- I think I fell into the hype on this one
  5. Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
  6. Divergent by Veronica Roth
  7. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculia Children by Ransom Riggs – I’ve picked this one up to read a few times, but didn’t get very far after that
  8. Heist Society by Ally Carter – I have a ton of Ally Carter books and haven’t read ANY of them
  9. The Lying Game by Sara Shepard – I love the TV show and since I’ve read that the 2 are different, I just don’t know if I still want to read the books
  10. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

 Booking Through Thursday

Any reading resolutions for the new year? Reading more? (Reading less?) Reading better books? Bigger books? More series? More relaxing books?

And hey, feel free to talk about any other resolutions you might have, too … or why you choose NOT to have any.

2013 is going to be a big year for me – just not reading wise.  I’m expecting my first baby in June so I know my reading time as well as my entire schedule will definitely change.  And I’m OK with that.  I’ve signed up to read 20 books on goodreads for the year.  I’m hoping I can read more, but I thought 20 was a good number to stick with for now not knowing how things will be going toward the end of the year.

I plan to request less books that require reviews.  I will be participating in fewer reading challenges this year as well.  I do want to participate in the Mount TBR Challenge, Historical Fiction RC, Audio Book RC, and the American Revolution RC.  I want to read more of the books I own – especially those really big ones that often get pushed aside for shorter ones.  I want to be better about posting my thoughts on the books I do read and enjoy – and not wait too long in between reading  and writing about it since I tend to forget a lot of the details.  My plan is to continue reading and blogging as time allows and not worry about the rest! :)

Happy reading in 2013!!

Lily of the Nile (Cleopatra's Daughter, #1)Something coiled dangerously within the basket I carried, but I’d been told not to open the lid nor to ask what lurked beneath its woven reeds.  The basket smelled of comforting cedar and lush figs, but it was embroidered with emblems of Anubis – the jackal-headed Guide of the Dead. ~p. 3
