Where are you reading from today?
I am reading from my house in Texas! See my comfy chair??
3 facts about me …
- I have an addiction to buying books and want to start a book buying ban for 2011.
- My kitty Cupcake is an excellent reading buddy (unless he’s hungry).
- This is my first time to participate in the read-a-thon! So excited!
How many books do you have in your TBR pile for the next 24 hours?
Too many!! But my current picks are:
- Magyk by Angie Sage
- The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie
- The Long Fatal Love Chase by Louisa May Alcott
- Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, or number of comments on blogs)?
Just want to enjoy the day!
If you’re a veteran read-a-thoner, any advice for people doing this for the first time?
I’m a newbie read-a-thoner!
Here’s where I am now:
So I started reading this morning at 9am. I’m currently reading Magyk by Angie Sage, the first of the Septimus Heap series and LOVING it!! It’s such a great story!
I know I won’t make the total 24 hours. I don’t think I’ve EVER pulled an allnighter. I always find myself snoozing the night away at some point!
So I’m thinking I may count 24 hours over the entire weekend.
Yesterday I read – 1 hr 50 min: Pages 92-178 (86) of Magyk and Pages 5-20 (15) of The Body in the Library
Today I’ve read – 1 hr 47 min: Pages 178-261 (83) of Magyk – I think I took a little morning nap in there too
My cousin Mel is joining me in the read-a-thon today as well so here are her reading plans for the day via chat:
well, I’m working on The Hearts of Horses about 120 pages in, and have Percy #3 The Titan’s Curse and Tuck Everlasting and The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner stacked up on my nightstand, and figured I’d see how it goes. And Joe was still planning to join in last I heard but I think he’s still asleep at the moment.
Good luck today all you read-a-thoners! What are you reading plans for today??
Happy Reading!
