Last WWW for 2012! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I’ve been busy getting ready and enjoying this time with family that I haven’t had much reading time. BUT, today I’m reading and trying to finish as many books as I can before the new year!

I’m currently finishing up Holiday Kisses - a collection of 4 holiday romances. Shannon Stacey is one of my new favorites. I’m also enjoying getting back into historical fiction with Lily of the Nile by Stephanie Dray.

First off, and most importantly, I want to thank ALL my new subscribers and followers as well as all those who have stayed with me!
I usually avoid update posts because I hate giving excuses for not posting on my blog. We all know life just gets in the way sometimes and I never want to post just for the sake of posting. But I feel like I just fell off the earth after posting my beginning post for Dewey’s 24 hr read-a-thon over a week ago!

Dewey’s Read-a-thon – how I did…
Well Saturday turned out to be pretty busy for me and I didn’t get to read as much as I would have liked. I did end up reading Lauren Barnholdt’s One Night That Changes Everything over the span of Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. I completely fell off the wagon on posting updates since I was out of the house most of the day.
So then what happened…
Went out of town for work Monday-Wednesday and that’s where I missed my flight – Monday morning…boo…but I got there eventually. I had wanted to plan some posts, but yeah, that didn’t happen. Since then I’ve been planning in my head how to get some posts up and I finally had time to work on it. And here we are.
Which leads to what I’ve been reading…

Currently about a third of the way into Ashen Winter by Mike Mullen. I’m still waiting for the can’t put it down effect that book 1 left me with…
• What did you recently finish reading?
Two weeks ago I finished Nevermore by Kelly Creagh. I loved it! Last Friday I finished Tamera Alexander’s To Whisper Her Name which just came out yesterday. Also loved it. I’ve been collecting a lot of her books, but this was the first one I had read by her. Sunday I finished One Night that Changes Everything by Lauren Barnholdt, which was a quick fun read. I also finished Joel Osteen’s I Declare while I was waiting at the airport for 4 hours.

• What do you think you’ll read next?
Not sure yet. I had several books picked out to read for Halloween so maybe one of those if I can get to it soon enough.

Started Nevermore by Kelly Creagh Monday night – read 200 pages in one sitting! I didn’t get to the books I listed last week because I left my kindle in my car which has been in the shop since Saturday…I miss it! Hopefully I can get a ride to pick up my car tonight after work!!

• What did you recently finish reading?
I finished both of the books I was reading last week – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and my audio book Room by Emma Donoghue. I just posted my review for Throne of Glass right before doing WWW. I need to get back in the swing of reviewing.

• What do you think you’ll read next?
Hmmm I’m really wanting to read Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin (on my kindle) and maybe the two I posted last week.

So to ease me back into it…I’ll just procrastinate the reviews a bit longer and do WWW
• What are you currently reading?
I am currently listening to City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, the 3rd in the Immortal Instrument series. I’m still not sure if I’m liking this series…I like Jace and am liking Simon more and more…and I have a sneaking suspicion that Clary and Jace aren’t really brother and sister…I HOPE – for their sake anyway!!
• What did you recently finish reading?
Just finished Victoria Dahl’s Good Girls Don’t.
• What do you think you’ll read next?
Not sure…I have been having a terrible habit lately of starting A BUNCH of books and setting them down and never picking them up again…Goodreads says I’m currently reading 10 books…I’m not…I’m in the mood for something romantic!
